The Hotel Haghof is an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the Swabian Forest, directly on the world cultural heritage site of the Limes Germanicus. The privately owned hotel offers you relaxation in a friendly atmosphere with all the charms Swabian life. Originally built as a farm in 1827, Haghof has been operating as a hotel since 1870. You will immediately feel at home in your room here. The 40 single and double rooms, as well as the family-friendly apartments, are decorated in a warm and traditional fashion. For your comfort all rooms have lovely balconies, a bath or shower, WC, telephone, TV and mini-bar. Our restaurant serves up local specialties with a Mediterranean flair. Meals are prepared with only the finest locally grown ingredients. Our specialties include venison and wild boar, a variety of seafood dishes and our homemade “Maultaschen”, a type of local ravioli. Our wine list features the best of local and international wines. The Hotel Haghof wellness center is a favorite of the Hotel Haghof and features a swimming pool,  sauna and aromatherapy massage, just to name a few.

The Surroundings
The Hotel Haghof is nestled in an idyllic landscape of meadows, fields, forests, rolling hills and lakes, all only a few kilometers away. The Swabian Park recreation center is also only 10km away. Rent a bike from the hotel to explore the surrounding area for yourself. It’s worth it! There are 5 cycling paths, ranging from 30 – 70 km in length, which start just outside the hotel and guide you through a variety of charming landscapes. You can also discover the unspoiled natural beauty on foot. Numerous hiking paths take you through the woods, meadows and lakes of the area. The neighboring stables are home to 40 horses and 10 ponies, perfect for children enjoying school vacation. The Hotel Haghof is happy to organize horse-drawn carriage rides or driving tours. Further afield, trips to the Castle Welzheim, the Lorch cloister, the half-timbered houses of Shorndorf, the Nature Park Murrhardt or the city of Schwäbisch Gmünd are worth your time.
